The Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy living community in Shillington, has opened an exhibit of the artwork of resident, David Lumb.

The exhibit includes 33 watercolors and two pastels. A private opening reception was held on Friday, January 9 in the community’s lobby, where the paintings are exhibited. The exhibit will be open to the public on Friday, January 23 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Among the works exhibited is a watercolor that recently was selected for the cover of The State of Seniors Housing 2014, the premier research report on seniors housing operational performance. Lumb’s work was selected over dozens of other pieces of art submitted by other seniors throughout the country. Three watercolors by another Heritage resident, Paul Laincz, were selected for inclusion inside the report. The report is a collaborative research project between several seniors housing associations.

Lumb and his wife, Olive, have been residents of The Heritage for five years. He has been retired for 30 years and began painting watercolors 10 to 12 years ago.
