The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will host an open house plans display Wednesday, Jan. 28, for proposed intersection improvements at the intersection of US 222 and Long Lane in Maxatawny Township, Berks County.

The plans will be displayed from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Georgian Room of the Old Main Building located at Kutztown University, 15200 Kutztown Road, Kutztown. Residents, business owners and motorists are encouraged to attend.

The open house is being held to update the community about the proposed replacement of the existing signalized intersection with a roundabout.

PennDOT and design consultant engineers will be on-hand to provide information and answer questions about the proposed project. Information will also be available about the use of roundabouts. The design consultant for this project is Urban Engineers of Philadelphia.
