Dressed in a camouflage trench coat with a hoodie, a man robbed a Ruscombmanor Township bank. Police believe this bank robbery is connected to the National Penn Bank robbery in Reading a few days earlier.

On Jan. 30 at 10:41 a.m., State Police Reading members responded to a bank robbery at the Tompkins Vist Bank located at 3401 Pricetown Road, Ruscombmanor Township.

“A male entered the front of the bank dressed in a camouflage colored trench coat with a hoodie over his head and face. Once inside, he demanded money and implied that he had a weapon,” reported Trooper Keith A. Verbilla in the police release. “The suspect was reportedly given an undetermined amount of money and then he fled behind the bank.”

Police “strongly believe” that this bank robbery is connected to the Reading City bank robbery at the National Penn Bank which occurred on Jan. 28, according to the police report.

State Police Reading is working in conjunction with the Reading City Police Department with locating Jason Lee Serrano based on their warrant and for questioning in regards to this bank robbery.
