“Who has made the Boyertown Area a better place and why?” That is what the organizers of this year’s Citizen of Year want to know.

The public is invited to submit entries by writing a narrative explaining why the nominee should receive one of the following awards: Citizen of the Year, Outstanding First Responder, Outstanding High School Senior and Special Recognition Award.

Nominations should be mailed to “Citizen of the Year” at 2 East 2nd Street, Boyertown, Pa. 19512. These can also be e-mailed to <boyertowncitizen@yahoo.com>. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 12.

The 2015 Citizen Awards Gala for the 61st Annual Boyertown Area Citizen of the Year is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. This event is hosted by the Boyertown Lions Club, the Boyertown Rotary Club and Building a Better Boyertown.
