pottstown >> Police have released a photo of the man they are seeking in relation to the drug raid that took place on Friday Feb. 20 on North Charlotte Street.
Police are looking for Omar White, 34, of 769 North Charlotte Street after a search of the residence was conducted and assorted drug paraphernalia was found. The search was the result of numerous community tips and a year-long investigation involving White’s alleged drug deals with mostly out-of-town customers, mostly from Gilbertsville and Boyertown.
“After we received the complaints from the community we began surveillance and used other investigative techniques to build the case,” said Pottstown Police Cpl. Michael Long of the process.
The search, which police conducted at around 3 p.m. on Friday, led police to seize large quantities of heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana with a total value of $15,000 . In addition, officers also found assorted drug paraphernalia, two handguns, a .22 caliber rifle and $900 in cash.
Police are now searching for White in connection with the investigation. He currently has felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. White was not legally permitted to possess a firearm and, along with additional drug charges, has firearms charges pending against him as well, according to police.
