Pennsylvania State Police Hamburg report that kidnapping suspect Marshall Glenn McGinty, 43, was taken into custody without incident on Feb. 25 by Casper, Wyoming Police Department. He was found parked in the victim’s Honda Fit at the East Side Wal Mart in Casper Wyoming.

Troopers were searching for McGinity after a kidnapping that occurred on Feb. 16 at a residence in the 1300 block of Hawk Mountain Rd., in Albany Twp. The victim, who was house sitting the residence, arrived at the home around 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 16 to discover McGinty already in the house. As the victim walked into the house, McGinty pointed an assault rifle (AK 47) at the victim and ordered him to lay on the floor face down. McGinty then tied the victim’s wrists together and took his wallet and keys.

Sometimes around 6 p.m., McGinty drove the victim in the victim’s car, the Honda Fit, to a Santander Bank at 120 South Centre Ave. in Pottsville City, where he withdrew $60 from the victim’s account. After going to the bank, McGinty drove back to the Hamburg reservoir where he cut the victim’s hands free and drove off in the victim’s car.

The AK 47 is the property of the homeowner and was not found in the house.

Charges against McGinty include kidnapping, unlawful restraint, robbery, criminal trespass, theft, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

At the time of the kidnapping, there were two arrest warrants for McGinity in Berks County and probation violations in Leghih and Schuylkill Counties.
