61st Annual Boyertown Area Citizen of the Year award recipents announced; Lori Carnes named 2015 Citzien of the Year

For the last 60 years, the Boyertown community has selected a handful of individuals who make a difference in their town-and this year is no exception. This year’s recipients of the 61st Annual Boyertown Area Citizen of the Year awards have been announced.

Lori Carnes has been selected as the 61st Citizen of the Year, followed by Tim Dierolf for Outstanding First Responder and Abby Jaeger as Outstanding High School Senior. New to this year’s event is the Special Recognition Award which will be presented to the Colebrookdale Railroad organizers and volunteers.

These individuals will be celebrated at the 2015 Citizen Awards Gala for the 61st Annual Boyertown Area Citizen of the Year is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles. This event is hosted by the Boyertown Lions Club, the Boyertown Rotary Club and Building a Better Boyertown.
