The talents of Oley Valley seniors were showcased recently when students presented a combined talent and fashion show to benefit “BASH,” the school’s drug-and alcohol-free party for 2015 graduates.

About 40 seniors participated in the event, held March 17 in the high school auditorium.

The show was written and directed entirely by students under the direction of teacher David Daniels.

A Chinese auction and silent auction were held, and food was served courtesy of donations from local vendors.

The fashion show featured sportswear, college wear, country wear, and swimwear. Prom fashions were also featured, along with “what not to wear.”

Highlights of the evening included dancing by Julianna Pierdomenico and Lauren Berkel, a “hula hoop extraordinaire” by Ashley Selig, and a rousing rendition of “Let It Go,” sung by Sydne Lyons. Alex Rufer performed Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” and Pierdomenico and Liz Lengel combined on the clarinet and trumpet to perform “When the Saints Go Marching In.”

Joe Coopersmith, Peter Janiszewski and Jacob Good danced a comedic interpretive dance to “Por Ti Volare” by Andrea Boccelli.

Other participants in the play portion of the evening included David Talarico, Julie Dautrich, Ben Garland, Amanda Rizzuti, Courtney Weise, Alyssa Kline, Kahley McBeth, Tara Williams and Zach Hartman.

Models included Meredith Hartz, Janet Peifer, Kierston Powell, Tristan Weller, Abby Resnick, Layla Said, Matt Schaeffer, Doug Cooper, Lauren Degler, Savannah Naughton, Kayla Matuszak, Allison Fetterman, Megan Kida, Sarah Zechman, Madison Davis, Carly Kauffman, Anthony Pufko, Courtney Wentzel, Tyler Kline and Thalia Williamson. The event was emceed by Ben Foreman and Joe MacDonald.

The BASH celebration will be held June 4 at Colonial Hills.
