On Saturday, April 18, Berks Women in Crisis will hold its first annual Walk For No More: Together We Can End Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault at First Energy Stadium in Reading.

Registration will begin at 3 p.m.; participants will walk about a mile throughout the stadium, prior to the Reading Fightin Phil’s game at 6:05 p.m. The goal of the walk is to raise $50,000 for BWIC services and program.

Teams and individuals may register for the event on CrowdRise, a web-based platform that makes it easy to raise money for the cause. Each registered walker who collects $100 or more will receive a free t-shirt, and all walk participants will receive a free general admission ticket to the Fightins game with the Richmond Flying Squirrels at 6:05 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in several categories to encourage and reward the walkers who are assisting BWIC in reaching their financial goal.

At 4 p.m., as the walk is ending, the First Energy Stadium Plaza will open to the public with food, beverages, live music, children’s activities, and more. Berks Women in Crisis will set up an information and outreach table on the Plaza, and conduct an extensive raffle.
