On Friday, March 20, Conestoga Christian School held their first annual Founders Dinner at the Shady Maple Banquet Facility. The featured speaker was Dr. Ben Carson, renowned pediatric neurosurgeon, inspiring story-teller, best-selling author, and Fox News contributor. CCS sold 1,000 tickets for this inaugural event and in spite of a first-day-of-spring “snow storm” all but about a dozen who purchased tickets attended the banquet.
After a wonderful dinner Dr. Carson spoke for 45 minutes on the importance of faith and courage in uniting our nation. Dr. Carson shared stories from his childhood and career that shaped him into the man he is today. He attributed his success to his mother, his faith, and education.
