Robeson Elementary Center hosted its annual Fun Fest March 14, offering a fun-filled, family-oriented community event that raises money for school activities and materials that are not covered in the yearly budget.

“Fun Fest is one of the school’s biggest fundraiser events,” said Barbara Liszcz.

Several games were set up inside the school. Prizes were awarded for winners of all games. There was entertainment throughout the day provided by cheerleaders, fiddlers, and dancers.

Chrysler Corp. and D’Ambrsio had the all-new Town & Country Minivan available for test drives. For every test drive Chrysler and D’Ambrsio partnered to donate $10 to Robeson through the “Drive for Kids” program.

Children and adults participated in Teacher Bingo, for which some of Robeson’s teachers called the Bingo numbers and awarded special prizes. Local fire fighters, EMS personnel, and police were also in attendance, as well as the Berks County Sheriff’s child identification program, “ID Me”. Also, there was an area for small business owners to display and sell their merchandise. There was a Chinese Auction to win prizes or a theme baskets that are put together by Robeson students. Items were also available for bidding at the Silent Auction.
