Aare $20 bill dated 1929 from The First National Bank of Honey Brook will be auctioned at Honey Brook Community Library’s Art Auction fundraising event, held 6 p.m. on April 25 at Heatherwood Retirement Community, 3180 Horseshoe Pike (Route 322), Honey Brook.

“The Library welcomes the community to come out to support them and enjoy an evening of art, entertainment and fun. There will be raffles, door prizes, wine from the vineyards of Chaddsford Winery, cheese, assorted hors d’oeuvres, desserts & coffee,” said Dawn Schaffer, member of the Library Board of Trustees and chair of the fundraising committee.

A piece of Honey Brook’s history, a $20 bill is up for auction. It was donated by members of the community, Reitzel and Doris Swain. The bill is dated 1929 and is from the First National Bank of Honey Brook. This is the only item that will be auctioned in a silent bid, starting at $200.

Bidders will have a chance to preview the art collection April 25, at 6 p.m. with the open auction starting at 7 p.m. Artwork, framed and matted, includes Limited Edition Lithographs, Serigraphs, Giclees and Etching as well as original oil paintings, animation cells and sports and music memorabilia. All opening bids are for the most part 30 to 50 percent under prices. The library gets a percentage of the sales, depending on how much is sold.

All ticket sales go to the library. Heatherwood Retirement Community hosted the library’s event three years ago raising $4,000 for the library.

Tickets are for sale at the door or at the Library, 687 Compass Road, Honey Brook, or call 610-273-3303 for more information.
