The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce recognized local students during its April 17 breakfast.

“Technology education looks very different in different schools but these students have emerged as leaders among their peers in some form of technology education,” said Kutztown Superintendent Kathy Metrick, introducing the honored students one at a time.

The first group of students were either 7th or 8th graders from each of the districts recognized for excelling in technology education.

Lydia Freeby: Brandywine Heights School District

Owen Breisch: Fleetwood Area School District

Jared Sterner: Hamburg Area School District

Ramsi Ross: Kutztown Area School District

Alysha Ulrich: Oley Area School District

Sophomores were recognized for excelling in business courses at BCTC, business courses in the school district, or in a leadership position in FBLA.

Erin Rapp: Brandywine Heights School District

Kortney Rentschler: Fleetwood Area School District

Andrea Fink: Hamburg Area School District

Beckham Sibiski: Kutztown Area School District

Andrea Hinkle: Oley Area School District
