The Tri-County Heritage Society, Morgantown, will be hosting an encore presentation of our Spring program The History of Morgantown, Part II.

The event will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 1-5 p.m. in the Community Room of the Caernarvon (Berks) Municipal Building, 3307 Main St., Morgantown.

The newly expanded program will feature displays of photographs and memorabilia of the homes and businesses located along the entire Main Street of Morgantown. A publication prepared for the 225th Anniversary Celebration of Morgantown states “every old building is a testament to the heritage of this area. We are but caretakers of these resources – it is our responsibility to pass this legacy on to those who come after us.”

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The Tri-County Heritage Society is located at 4979 N. Twin Valley Road, Elverson. The library and office are open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and by appointment. The Society’s mission is to collect, preserve and disseminate the history that relates to the people, properties and events of Berks, Chester and Lancaster counties.
