AMITY >> Police are looking for two men who were involved in an armed robbery at a home on the 600 block of westbound Route 422.
At about 8 a.m. Monday, a white male knocked on the door of a female resident of “The Cottages” off Route 422 and, when she partially opened the door, “forced his way into the residence.” according to a release from the Amity Police Department.
A handgun was displayed to the victim, according to police.
He was described as wearing a white shirt, tan shorts, a silvery chain and a black hat and had a black bandana covering his face, police said.
The suspect left the area in a silver Audi sedan driven by a black male and was observed traveling west along Route 422, police said.
The crime is under investigation and police said they do not yet know if this robbery is connected to two other recent robberies along Route 422 in the township.
On Sunday, May 3, a 74-year-old man was robbed at the National Penn Bank near route 422 and Old Swede Road.
On Thursday, April 30, a suspect who also covered his face from the nose down, robbed the Speedway convenience store at knife-point.
