East Earl ‘Ride for Kenny’ motorcycle ride benefit ride for Kenny Patterson

Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church will have a Blessing of the Motorcycles service on Sunday, June 14, 2015. Worship will begin at 10:00 a.m. We will provide a lunch at 11:30 a.m. Kick Stands are up at 12:30 p.m.

“Ride for Kenny” motorcycle ride will be a benefit ride for Kenny Patterson. Motorcycles will leave from Cedar Grove. For those who do not ride motorcycles: you may walk on the same day. Walk will begin at 1:00 p.m. meeting at New Holland Park and ending at the Park.

Kenny Patterson of East Earl, PA loved playing football. At age 12 he had difficulty breathing and was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and primary pulmonary hypertension. Kenny had a heart/double lung transplant by the same donor. Last summer after a lengthy illness, Kenny was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. After receiving treatment for the Crohn’s Disease the medication caused rejection to his transplanted lungs. Kenny is waiting to have a heart catheterization before any decision will be made about another transplant. Kenny is now 28 years old, with a wife Meghan and 10-month-old son Brayden.

Checks may be made to the Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church and Memo Kenneth Patterson Jr. All donations will go to Kenny for medical and costs needed.
