Bally >> Police and emergency personnel responded to a crash that occurred early Tuesday morning.

At around 2:50 a.m. first responders arrived at a motor vehicle accident on Route 100 in Bally. The unnamed driver of a white pickup truck had crashed into a utility police, shattering the pole and overturning the truck on a sidewalk. The truck came to a final rest on the sidewalk and front steps of a business at Main and Church streets, according to the Eastern Berks Fire Department.

Power was lost throughout the borough for a brief time following the crash.

No injuries were reported and fire crews applied oil dry to absorb fluids and aided in cleaning up debris.

Eastern Berks Fire, Bally Ambulance, Pennsylvania State Police at Reading and Berks-Mont Towing assisted on the scene for about an hour. The vehicle was then removed and the scene was left to Met-Ed.
