Green Hills Manor, the personal care community on the campus of The Heritage of Green Hills in Shillington, is offering free tickets to the Fightin Phils’ 14th annual Berks Encore Morning Game.
The game, between the Phils and the Trenton Thunder, will be played on Monday, July 6 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, Pa., beginning at 9:35 a.m.
Tickets can be picked up at Green Hills Manor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 22-26 and June 29-July 2. The community is located at 10 Tranquility Lane in Shillington, just off Route 10/Morgantown Rd.
Berks Encore’s mission is to engage the community to enable older adults to achieve a better quality of life by providing services, referrals, education and advocacy.
“We’re excited to once again offer tickets to the annual Berks Encore Morning Game,” said Doug Walther, executive director of Green Hills Manor. “Berks Encore’s mission is in keeping with our own, which is to provide residents with a perfect blend of comfort, security and care in a lifestyle that encompasses all aspects of wellness.”
The Berks Encore Morning Game has become a popular tradition among seniors. Many third-shift workers are also regular attendees. Gates open at 6:00 a.m., and game-day promotions include a pre-game concert from 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.; a free hot dog and coffee before 8:00 a.m.; and $1 off beer from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Robert Rundle, a resident of The Heritage of Green Hills, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
