St. Paul’s U.C.C. in Fleetwood hosted its Vacation Bible School last week. Fleetwood resident Linda D. Bullock, Ms. Senior Pennsylvania America 2012, portrayed Mary during VBS. Mary writes about her experience at St. Paul’s VBS.

Nazareth (where Jesus was a kid)

HelloMy name is Mary and I live in Nazareth. I was invited to come to St. Paul’s U.C.C. in a town called Fleetwood to tell my many stories about my son Jesus. I am the Mother of Jesus.

It is not easy being the Mother of Jesus. Many people simply do not believe Jesus is the Son of God and that I was the chosen one to be his Mother.

The church built me a house that looked just like my house in Nazareth so I would feel at home.

It was not easy for me in Fleetwood. The things they call cars were noisy and frightened my Donkey.

The people did dress a little strange, and the food was quite strange (although quite tasty).

I knew right away the children knew my son. They sang beautiful songs about him.

I realized many things were the same here in Fleetwood.

My son had a Family, and my friends have families. We all have names, a home, a church and we serve one another, the same way my son Jesus does.

The children also helped me to teach my neighbor Eunice to believe that I truly am the mother of Jesus and that he is the “Son of God.”

I know there are many of you wonderful people that know Jesus and Love him. Please spread the word about Jesus, that he is the “Son of God”, be kind to one another and Love one another. It will make our world a better place.

I will miss my new friends, but I must travel to my home in Nazareth. They will live in my heart forever.

Your friend in “LOVE”Mary
