It seems like yesterday that many of the children in our Pre-Kindergarten graduating class started at The Whole Child Learning Center as infants, and now we’re preparing to send them off to school and their next step in life’s journey. We are very proud of the children, their many accomplishments and the friendships they’ve developed. June 6th was the day the Whole Child Learning Center’s Pre-Kindergarten class was able to show off their talents…and that’s just what they did. The celebration was held at the Community Evangelical Free Church with family and friends to share in their special day. Everyone was captivated by the amazing performance of the children, who were eager to show what they learned this year. The graduates not only sang, but incorporated dance, sign language, Spanish and German into their performance, which highlighted the exceptionalism of each graduate. The ceremony was a tribute to the hard work the children put in throughout the year, and brought tears to many eyes to see how much each had grown. It was an emotional day, but also fun-filled, and will be remembered forever.

Special thanks to Miss Donna, Miss Danielle, Miss Karen, Miss Ali, Miss Kathy and Miss Joan for doing such a wonderful job teaching the children and preparing them for kindergarten. The love, guidance and support these teachers gave their Pre-Kindergarten students are unsurpassed.

We are happy that many of the WCLC graduates will remain with us in our before and after school programs, but for those who are moving from the area you will forever be in our hearts. It is always nice to hear those sentiments returned as a couple of our families recently wrote:

“On Saturday, June 6, the Whole Child Learning Center honored the Pre-K Class of 2015. WCLC has been a part of our lives for 5 years, and have experienced every first with us. From tears and smiles to first steps, words and teeth, WCLC has helped to shape our children to the special girls and boys they have grown to become.

When Kathy, Kim, Kendra and Linda put an event together, it’s top notch. Graduation was no exception. The Pre-K teachers (Miss Donna, Miss Kathy and Miss Karen) put their special touch on the day by leading our kids in an adorable medley of musical hits. Entertainment was also provided by a happy magician who astonished the kids and families with his illusions and wonder.

The video montage & portfolio which documented my daughters earliest days proved overwhelmingly that WCLC was the perfect match for our family. The staff at WCLC clearly treasures each child’s moments as much as the parents do.

We would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support you have shown our family and children.

“Kid, you’ll move mountains! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So… get on your way!” – Dr. Seuss. Watch out world, WCLC has built the foundation for these future leaders to conquer the world.”

-K. Kozie”It has been a wonderful 10 year journey with you ladies at the helm! We cannot thank you enough for taking care of our three kids. They have grown into amazing young people and in part due to you. Each of them loves life, loves to story tell, loves people and loved learning when they left WCLC. We knew they would be prepared for elementary school when they left you, but we were so grateful that they gained so much more than that during their time there. We love you all so much”. – P. & K. Loomis
