Joanna Furnace in Robeson Township hosted Keystone Iron Warriors for their Bike and Car Show on Saturday, June 20, along with a Flag Retirement by American Legion, Post 537, Morgantown.
Mark Gillen, State Representative gave an eloquent speech to a standing crowd to start out the festivities.
The Veterans were driven around JoAnna Furnace in two wagons, pulled by a tractor amongst cheers from the crowd. The Veterans were escorted by motorcycles of the Legion Riders from the American Legion.
Henry Heater, Veteran of World War II, Korea, and two tours in Vietnam, was escorted by Commander Roger Jacobs and Trustee Dennis Martin of American Legion Post 537.
There was a breakfast buffet, Chicken BBQ and an array of food; along with a flea market and homemade items for sale.
Roger Jacobs stated our Legion was honored to be asked to participate in the Keystone Iron Warriors function. Jenifer Sparr did a great job pulling this all together for JoAnna Furnace along with our Legion Riders.
