The Albany Township Historical Society will be hosting an event on Friday, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. to allow the community to bid good bye to Albany Elementary School.
The school will be open for walk-through. Historical society members will be on hand to record oral histories and scan photos. A memorabilia table will be set up for people to display items like field day t-shirts, art projects, books, etc.
At 7 pm there will be a brief ceremony including the opening of the 1958 Cornerstone.
Hot dogs will be available for purchase from the Kempton Lions Club and a special surprise dessert will be served.
Bring your lawn chairs, memories, artifacts and friends to this unique community event.
