HARRISBURG >> Two men from Berks and Perry counties have been arrested after being charged with possessing child pornography.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane announced the arrests of Timothy Johnson, 55, of 85 Stephanie Road, Exeter, and Devin Turman, 33, of 324 E. Main Street, Blain, on Thursday.

Johnson was charged after an investigation into the online sexual abuse led police to his home, according to a press release from the Office of the Attorney General. Agents with the Child Predator Section as well as officers from Exeter Police executed a search warrant on the home on Tuesday and seized a laptop.

Investigators found numerous child porn images and Johnson was placed under arrest, facing 30 counts of possession of child pornography. Johnson was also charged with one count each of distribution of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, according to the release.

Turman was arrested on Wednesday after the Dauphin County Criminal Investigative Unity received a call about alleged sexual abuse. The caller explained that he had been on a social networking site and that he communicated with an individual who claimed to have had sex with a 4-year-old-boy.

Investigators were led to Turman’s residence and a search warrant was executed on his home. Three laptops and a cell phone were seized and Turman was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility, according to authorities.

Johnson posted bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 22. Turman’s bail was set at $25,000 unsecured and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 10. Both will be prosecuted by the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section.

These arrests bring the total number of arrests by the Office of the Attorney General’s Child Predator Section to 97 in 2015.
