Honey Brook’s July 18 evening bocce tournament had a flair of patriotism as the top three teams won medals in gold, silver and bronze sporting the red, white and blue of our country’s colors.
The evening weather was hot, and the play on the courts was sizzling as well, with many great shots and keen competition. Eight teams of four competed, first under the bright sun, and then under the park lights.
First place winners were the Stealth Bombers: Pete, Chrystyna, Gardo and Bill.
Second place went to Bocce Buddies: Heidi, John, Adele and Carolyn.
The third place team was The Pugs: Richard, James, Terry and Dane.
The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.
