Acting State Police Commissioner Marcus L. Brown has promoted Robert C. Wagner, a native of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, to lieutenant and assigned him to Troop L, Reading as the Patrol Section Commander. He most recently served as the station commander of Troop L, Hamburg.

Lieutenant Wagner enlisted in the state police in 1991. Upon graduation from the Academy, he was assigned to the Troop B, Pittsburgh station. As he progressed through the ranks, Lieutenant Wagner served in Troop M, Troop K and Troop L. During his career, he served as corporal in Troop M and a sergeant in Troop K and Troop L.

Lieutenant Wagner was promoted to corporal in 2006 and to sergeant in 2009. Lieutenant Wagner is a 1987 graduate of Quigley Catholic High School. He attended Edinboro University and the Community College of Beaver County.

Lieutenant Wagner and his girlfriend, Corporal Mary Rogers, reside in Maidencreek Township, Berks County. Lieutenant Wagner has three children; Lexi, Seth and Gabriella.
