In our efforts to continue to serve those in need, Friend, Inc. Community Services will be hosting the 6th annual Brake the Cycle of Poverty bike ride.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 8 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Keystone Hall, Kutztown University.

The bike ride provides the opportunity for us to raise funds that allow us to serve families and individuals in need in the Kutztown, Fleetwood and Brandywine Heights School Districts. Last year, Friend served 1,338 individuals or 508 families through our pantry and other services. Unfortunately, the number of families struggling continues to rise as we try to increase our capacity to keep up the need.

Please join us on Saturday, August 8 and participate in the Brake the Cycle of Poverty Bike Ride. It is a family friendly fun event for all. Choose from 10, 25, 33 or 62 mile routes. We will have SAG support, well-marked roads and cue sheets, food for registered riders and more.
