For the 12th year in a row, Albright College has been named one of the best schools in the Northeast by The Princeton Review.

Albright is one of 225 colleges and universities named to The Princeton Review’s “Best Northeastern” list, part of the company’s online feature “2016 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”

The institutions named in the regional “best of” lists are considered “academically outstanding and well worth consideration” for prospective students searching for colleges, according to The Princeton Review.

The lists are based on student feedback. Albright students surveyed praised the College for its focus on interdisciplinary education and small, discussion-based classes. Students told The Princeton Review that Albright wholeheartedly embraces its motto of “a different way of thinking.”

“This principle ‘is truly evident, in a positive way, in all aspects’ of an Albright education ‘including the academic options, clubs and organizations, campus living, and social aspects,'” according to feedback on Albright’s Princeton Review profile.

Gregory Eichhorn, Albright’s vice president of enrollment management and dean of admission, said the College is honored to be included on this list for 12 straight years.

“To be recognized for academic excellence, and as a college worth considering in the college selection process by The Princeton Review – an established leader in the college ranking and admissions resources industry – is a tribute to the caliber of our students and faculty,” he said.

In total, The Princeton Review recognized 649 colleges and universities in four regions – Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and West – representing just 25 percent of the nation’s approximately 2,500 four-year colleges. Schools in the Best Colleges: Region by Region feature are not ranked.
