The LCB Band hosts Rick Hallman Day Sept. 13 at Honeybrook Golf Course with a 9 hole golf tournament starting at 8 a.m. followed by music starting at 2 p.m. until dusk. All of the proceeds will go to Rick Hallman of the LCB Band.

“Ricky Hallman, Ray Horst and myself (John C. Stacy) play in a little country band we put together a couple of years ago,” said Stacy. “We have become really good friends and Ricky’s house burned a couple of months ago. So Ray and I started talking about doing something to raise a little money to help Ricky.”

Stacy continued, “He had insurance but we all know how that works. He lost some stuff that they can’t replace.”

“I hope people will attend and help out a good friend and neighbor. The music will be good, the golf will be fun and it’s all for a very good cause. I think the event will say that the community of Honey Bbrook is a caring community that takes care of their own. Ricky has lived around Honey Brook all his life,” said Stacy. “His home is actually in Cambridge but he was part of the volunteer fire department and helped with the annual carnival every year among other things.”

The LCB Band played this summer at Honeybrook Golf Course.

“We played music out at the Honeybrook Golf Course and they have been kind enough to offer their establishment for this benefit,” said Stacy. “So myself and Ray are the primary ones involved but a bunch of good friends have also stepped up to help with the golf outing and volunteered to play music and donated items to auction off.”

The LCB Band and Country Express Band will be playing along with several other acts. The golf course has food and beverages available. There will also be an auction during the music portion of the event.

“We have currently have two bands Country Express that Ray and Ricky have been a part of for about 30 years and The LCB Band which is me, Ray and Ricky. We also have friends who are going to play between the two bands so it will be continuous music,” he said.

The auction items currently include an autographed Philadelphia Flyers hockey stick, a weather station, and several coupons for dinner at Shady Maple, Whitehorse Inn, Brady Restaurant and the Carriage House Restaurant plus several golf items.

“The Stick is autographed by the entire Philly Flyers hockey team that won the championship in the 1970s,” he said.

There is a charge for golf, tickets for sale for music are $10 per person, available at the Honeybrook Golf Course. For questions or tickets call John Stacy at 512-308-7730.
