The Historical Society of Montgomery County is offering an “Intermediate Genealogy Workshop” presented by Rose Brown, Genealogist and former Society librarian. The four-week workshop, which will include research tips beyond the basic genealogy research, will run four consecutive Tuesdays, Sept. 8 through Sept. 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Ms. Brown, a recognized authority, has been working on family genealogy for over 40 years. She served as part-time librarian at the Historical Society for 18 years. During that time she handled genealogy requests and assisted in research which added to her vast knowledge of genealogy research techniques. She has been teaching “Beginning Genealogy Workshops” for 14 years and “Intermediate Genealogy Workshops” for 7 years. All her workshops are held exclusively at the Historical Society of Montgomery County.

Seating is limited; pre-registration is required. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is a non-refundable materials fee of $10 for Society members and $15 for non-members. The workshop will be held in the meeting room of Society Headquarters, 1654 DeKalb Street, Norristown.

The Historical Society of Montgomery County is handicapped accessible; off-street parking is available behind headquarters. To register or for more information, call the Society at 610-272-0297 or email contact@hsmcpa.org.
