Area runners waded through mud and water at the 4th annual “hard to the core 5K Mud Run” at Weavers Orchard in Morgantown on Saturday Sept. 19. The race benefited local cancer patients through the organization OneRunTogether.
At the end of the race everyone received a pancake breakfast. Everyone was having fun in the mud from ages 7 to 55. People appeared defiantly tired at the end of the race but everyone got muddy and wore big smiles.
One of the runners, Brenden Rubincan, a Twin Valley High School senior, said, “It was a lot of fun but I am defiantly all out of steam.”
Andrew Warner is a senior at Twin Valley High School. He is a student intern at Berks-Mont Newspapers.
