Fire at a Bethel home on Sept. 29 is under investigation.

State police report that the exact cause is still being determined, however, evidence and information to date indicate the fire is accidental in nature.

The fire on Mountain View Road was reported by a passerby at a residence, according to state police.

Fire crews from Strausstown Fire Company and surrounding fire companies arrived at the scene at 8:21 p.m., not long after fire crews were cleared from the Interstate 78 Upper Bern Township fire earlier that day.

Upon arrival, fire was venting from the home and it was fully involved. No injuries were reported.

State police report that the investigation showed the fire originated on the north half of the home. An exact cause is still to be determined but evidence and information to date indicates the fire is accidental.
