The Hamburg Police reported an investigation of a fraud incident on Sept. 25 at approximately 3:15 p.m. This stems from an incident that occurred between Sept. 11 and Sept. 25, when Tina Dale, 47, of Pottstown used the victim’s identity information to obtain a library card at the Hamburg Library.

The victim, Shannon Hollenbach, 34, of Hamburg, reported the incident to police, and the matter is currently under investigation.

Police investigate fraudulent credit card use

On Sept. 25 at approximately 2:30 p.m., police investigated an incident of fraud that was reported by the victim, Jenna Byler, 32, of Hamburg. Byler had unauthorized charges made to her credit card account.

This incident is currently under investigation.

Burglary at recycling companyThe Hamburg Police responded to a burglary that occurred on Sept. 27 at approximately 9 a.m.

The unknown actor(s) broke into Cougle’s Recycling, Inc. prior to police arrival. The incident is currently under investigation by local police.

Police respond to disorderly conduct

On Sept. 29 at approximately 10:20 a.m., police investigated an incident of disorderly conduct.

This stems from an incident that occurred at the Hamburg Municipal Building when Stanley Gibson, age 81, of the Hamburg area, came to the municipal building to clear up an issue with his taxes.

During the meeting, Gibson became angry and left the building while making comments about loading his gun. This incident was reported, and steps were taken to ensure the safety of the staff and guests of the municipal building, residents and Mr. Gibson.
