Goblins, ghosts, monsters, oh my! Children and adults alike will delight in our annual trick-or-treating event. Costumed children can visit the historic buildings and receive a fun treat, have their face painted, and pick and decorate their own pumpkin. They can also play with colonial toys and games, listen to scary stories, and help a scarecrow stuff his friend. This event will be held Sunday, Oct. 25, 12 to 4 p.m.

Throughout the afternoon, children and adults can enjoy a tour through the Boone House and Bertolet Log House. Children (and adults) are encouraged to wear a costume and bring a bag or basket for treats!

Admission: Adult (16+) $6.00, Child (5-15) $4.00. FDBH members free, no other discounts apply. Combination tickets available with Haunted Homestead Tour on October 23 & 24- free adult admission to Halloween at the Homestead with Haunted Homestead Tour ticket (must bring at least one child to Halloween at the Homestead to receive free admission).

The Daniel Boone Homestead is the birthplace of the famed frontiersman, born in 1734. The Boone House, constructed in three stages throughout the eighteenth century, is a 10-room stone structure fully furnished to the period and situated on 579 acres of rolling countryside. The Daniel Boone Homestead is located halfway between Reading and Pottstown, one mile north of Rt. 422 near Baumstown. The Homestead is owned by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and historic operations are managed by the Friends of the Daniel Boone Homestead, a local, non-profit organization.
