Hamburg Police: Two vehicles collide at 100 block of N. 4th Street

On Oct. 2, at approximately 9:50 a.m., Hamburg Police responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash at the 100 block of North 4th Street in Hamburg.

At this time, John Stasulli, 87, of Port Clinton, was traveling north on N. 4th Street when Kevin Richards, 24, of Hamburg, pulled out of his driveway and into Stasulli’s path. Stasulli was unable to stop before colliding with Richards.

No one was injured as a result of the crash. Stasulli’s vehicle was towed by Always Towing.

Police investigate daughter’s terroristic threat

On Oct. 3, the Hamburg Police investigated a report of a terroristic threat made by a daughter toward her mother.

This stems from an incident that occurred in the 100 block of N. 4th Street. During an argument, Amber Hedegard, 22, of Bernville, threatened to paralyze her mother, Denise Hedegard, 47, of Hamburg, who had recently had back surgery.

After conducting the investigation, police were informed by the victim, Denise, that she did not want charges filed against her daughter. The incident was resolved without arrest.

Traffic stop results in DUI arrest

Hamburg Police reported that a DUI arrest was made on Oct. 4 at approximately 2:23 a.m., following a routine traffic stop in the area of Route 61 and S. 4th Street.

Police conducted an investigation and found probable cause for the arrest of the driver, Edwin Ortiz, 41, of Port Carbon, for suspected DUI. Charges are pending the results of further investigation.

Police investigate burglary report

The Hamburg Police responded to the report of a burglary that occurred possibly between Sept. 5 and Oct. 5. The burglary was reported by the victim, Samuel Preston, 45, of Hamburg on Oct. 5 at 2:41 p.m., when he noticed the burglary had occurred.

Police are currently investigating this incident.
