The Oley Fire Company enjoyed a pair of beautiful autumn days for their 8th Annual Antique Power and Apple Festival Car Show on the weekend of Oct. 10 and 11.

The great weather made for a very good turnout of participants and spectators alike and the proverbial good time was had by all.

Among the many activities were Hay Rides, Barrel Train Rides, Cow Chip Bingo, a Car Show, Tractor parades, Quoit Tournament, live music by Twitty Fever (Saturday) and Midnight Special (Sunday) and of course, LOTS of good food!

Classes for the car show were Antique (Pre-1948), Street Rod (Pre-1948 w/Modifications), Custom Modified (Post 1948 w/Modifications), Stock, Muscle Pre-1980, Muscle Post 1980, Corvette, Special Interest, Truck, and Motorcycle. Participant judged with three trophies per class in addition to Best of Show.

The next event to held by the Oley Fire Company is the Halloween and Oley High School Homecoming Parade, set for Oct 17 at 1 p.m.

Registration begins at 12 p.m. at Friedens Church Main Street. All ages are welcome. A hot dog and soda will be provided to all participants.
