Altria Companies Employee Community Fund (ACECF), including employees from John Middleton, donated $235,000 to 17 nonprofits in Pennsylvania with many located near the Philadelphia area. In Pennsylvania, ACECF has donated nearly $1 million since 2011 to support organizations that focus on hunger relief, youth and senior services, homelessness, domestic violence, and emergency services.

“The organizations receiving these grants are addressing many critical needs in our local communities. It’s a great feeling to know that my dollars, when combined with those from my co-workers can really make a difference,” said Randy White, John Middleton Production Manager and ACECF supporter.

ACECF is an employee-funded charitable giving program managed and supported by Altria companies employees.

ACECF awarded grants to the following Pennsylvania organizations for 2015:

* Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County

* Domestic Violence Center of Chester County

* Family Service of Montgomery County Pa.

* Laurel House* Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance

* Montgomery County Association for the Blind

* Montgomery County Mh-Mr Emergency Service

* Montgomery County Norristown Public Library

* National Ambucs* Opportunity House

* Penn Township Ambulance Association Rescue No. 6

* The Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities

* Reading Recreation Commission

* Resources for Human Development

* The Linfield Fire Company No. 1

Altria Group makes an annual contribution to the fund and pays for its administrative costs enabling every dollar that employees give to ACECF to go directly to non-profit groups within Pennsylvania. It is the only employee-managed giving program that is publicly reported among U.S. companies, according to Changing Our World.
