Exeter Police announced Friday, Oct. 9, that next month they will be having child seat seminars for the public.

Police said Friday that the Exeter Community Library, 4569 Prestwick Dr., Reading, will host the seminars on Nov. 14 at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Officers will be instructing parents on the proper techniques and recommendations on how to install various types of child seats. In addition, officers will be reading to children and teaching them about safety as children have the opportunity to earn their “Junior Officer’s Badge.” Seminars are expected to last about 45 minutes to an hour.

The free public seminar will aim to clarify frequently changing recommendations for child safety.
