State Police: Burglary at Mertztown residence under investigation

State Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Longswamp Township residence on Nov. 18, between 12 and 4:50 p.m.

The victims, Edward and Dodie Hollenbach, of Mertztown, reported that items were missing from their home after the unknown actor(s) used a hidden set of keys to enter the residence.

The actor(s) removed a video game, a gold necklace with an eagle charm, two Hewlett-Packard laptops, a crystal Hershey Kiss jewelry case and other assorted jewelry, including multiple rings and necklaces, from the residence.

Car strikes utility pole in Jefferson Township

On Nov. 19 at approximately 9:30 a.m., State Police responded to a one car accident that occurred on New Schaefferstown Road in Jefferson Township.

The incident occurred as the driver, Leto Wilson, 36, of Philadelphia, was traveling east on the roadway. The driver veered off the road and struck a utility pole on the south side. The vehicle came to a final rest facing southeast in the eastbound lane.

There were no injuries in this crash. The driver had one passenger in the vehicle. Jonathan’s towed the vehicle from the scene.
