Berks County 4-H Horse Club members participated in the 2015 PA State 4-H Horse Show from Oct. 23 to 25 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.

All five Berks County 4-H clubs came together with their theme of Berks County Rides Around the World. They worked together and won first place for good housekeeping for Region 1, as well as overall Good Housekeeping Champion on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Horse club members also participated in the Equine Educational Display contest. They were: Andrew Long with Berks Saddle-ites 4-H Club, Elizabeth Berger with Berks Saddle-ites 4-H Club. Andrew placed first for Region 1 and was third place overall with his display of “Basics of Internal Horse Parasites.”

In the State Model Horse Show, Berks County 4-H had four participants: Andrew Long, Berks Saddle-ites 4-H Club; Daniel Twaddell, Ride For Pride 4-H Club; Elizabeth Berger, Berks Saddle-ites 4-H Club; and Merdena Twaddell, Ride For Pride 4-H Club. All four participants did well in their respective classes.
