The Colebrookdale Railroad has several special holiday excursions lined up – including the Santa Claus Train and “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.” Each ride promises it’s own unique experience.
Following last year’s lead, the local railroad invites families to ride the train with Santa. The ride teases a visit with Santa, who will come with gifts and may even be accepting letters from children.
New this year – all 10:30 a.m. Cafe Car passengers will offer Breakfast with Santa.
Coinciding with the Santa train, the “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas” train invites passengers to attend in their pajamas, to sip hot chocolate and enjoy the reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Holiday music will set the tone for the evening, and Santa himself may stop by.
These excursions, which began running in late November, will continue to run through Dec. 23. The rides are held on the weekends only, with the exception of Christmas week, when the train will run Monday, Dec. 21 to Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Following the holiday, “Snowflake Special” and “Winter Starlight Express” excursions are slated to run.
