On Nov. 22, Fleetwood Police responded to a two car crash that occurred at the intersection of Arch Street and North Franklin Street in Fleetwood.

The collision occurred at approximately 8:06 p.m. as the first driver, Jordan Napoli, 20, of Canadensis, was traveling north on N. Franklin Street. Napoli stopped at the stop sign and then proceeded to pull out into the intersection. The second driver, Randall Wolf, 47, of Fleetwood, hit his breaks to avoid hitting Napoli’s vehicle but was unable to stop in time. Wolf’s front end struck the driver’s side of Napoli’s vehicle.

After impact, both drivers pulled their vehicles from the intersection. Napoli’s vehicle has moderate damage to its left side and was towed from the scene. Wolf’s vehicle had light damage and was driven from the scene.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Napoli sustained minor injuries and refused treatment. Fleetwood Ambulance and Fleetwood Fire Companies responded on scene. Napoli will be charged with summary traffic violations.

Police respond to crash on Route 222

On Nov. 24 at approximately 9:09 p.m., Fleetwood Police were called to respond to a collision on Route 222 in the area of Route 662.

Driver Chimere Brooks, 26, of Allentown, was traveling northbound on Route 222 when she lost control of her vehicle while passing other vehicles utilizing the center turn lane at a rate of high speed. She crossed into the southbound path of driver Mark Drosdak, 22, of Reading, and struck his vehicle.

Brooks was transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest by Fleetwood and Kutztown EMS for moderate injuries. Drosdak was treated and released at the scene. Police were assisted on scene by Fleetwood, Virginville and Walnuttown Fire Companies, along with Fleetwood and Kutztown EMS.

This collision is still under investigation.
