Another great year for Wreaths Across America in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, the weather was perfect and it was the largest crowd since its establishment eight years ago.

American Legion Post 537 Morgantown, was one of the largest donors. This year they donated in Scott Jacobs’ name. More than 600 wreaths were donated in Scott’s name. Scott passed away November 2015 and it was his wish, not to have flowers but to donate to Wreaths Across America .

The Jacobs Family has been going to Wreaths Across America for seven years.

“It means a lot to our family” stated brother Barry Jacobs. Approximately 9,100 wreaths were donated to Indiantown Gap cemetery this year.

Two members of the American Legion escorted the wreaths from Maine to Arlington Cemetery. This was Candy Burkhart’s second year and Neil Wagner’s fifth year. It is a grueling trip on a motorcycle, but they both said it is the very least they can do to show their support.

Commander Roger Jacobs stated he is very proud of our Legion Riders and our Legion members.
