Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care is pleased to invite the public to a free Alzheimer’s Support Group Meeting on Thursday, July 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to learn more about caring for your senior loved ones with dementia.
This month’s meeting will be “Healthy Living for the Brain and Body,” presented by Kellie Butsack, associate director of programs at the Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter.
Join Chestnut Knoll for this presentation as they focus on “10 Ways to Love Your Brain,” which includes lifestyle habits that people can adopt to maintain or potentially improve their health as they age. These habits, spanning four categories – physical health and exercise, diet and nutrition, cognitive activity and social engagement – can help keep your body and brain healthy and potentially reduce your risk of cognitive decline.
The Alzheimer’s Support Group Meeting, affiliated with the Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, is held on the third Thursday of each month in the dining room. Light refreshments are served to those attending.
The support group meeting is free and open to the public. Care is provided for the loved ones while the caregiver is in the meeting, pre-assessment required. If your loved one needs care during the meeting, please RSVP by calling 610-473-8066.
