Hamburg Borough Council held its reorganization meeting on Jan. 4. Martha Bertolet was appointed Council president and Jeanette Heckman was appointed vice president.
The 2016 council members are Martha Bertolet, Jeanette Heckman, Lindsay Adams, Josh Shaffer, Joshua Youpa, Dale Schlencker and Jeff Adam.
Mayor is Peter Kalabisko. Council Committee chairs are Jeff Adam for Road Committee, Dale Schlenker for Property Committee, Jeanette Heckman for Personnel Committee and Josh Youpa for Finance Committee.
There is no tax increase in 2016 and no rate increase for the Hamburg Municipal Authority water/sewer systems.
The 2016 commissions and boards are the following.
Hamburg Municipal Authority members are chairman Steve Smith, secretary Stan Henne, treasurer Steve Blefgen, assistant secretary Michael Stasulli, vice chair David Fink and assistant treasurer Mike Quick.
Hamburg Planning Commission members are Jeanett Heckman, Michael Kershner, Dale Schlenker, Steven Levan and Stephen Rejniak. There are two vacancies.
Hamburg Zoning Hearing Board members are chairman Robert Grim, Ronald Musser Jr., Anthony Merklinger, secretary Mary Alice Wertz, vice chair Ray Dunkle and alternate Donald Francis.
Hamburg Library Board members are president Karen Fister, Joan Adams, Shirley Hix, Jeanette Heckman, vice president Pat Adams, Michael Stasulli, secretary Christine Roth, Sylvia Summons and Lori Moyer.
Police Civil Service Commission members are Sylvia Summons, Martha Bertolet, and vice chair Paul Seyfert Sr.
