A man wielding a kitchen knife robbed the Dollar General Store in Topton on Jan. 21.

According to State Police Reading, a white man entered the Dollar General Store, 330 W Weiss St., Topton, at about 9:31 p.m. He remained in the store, acting as if he was shopping, until all other customers left the store. At about 9:55 p.m., the man came around the counter, displayed a large kitchen knife, and asked for all of the cash in the register. He then fled on foot towards Main Street.

The man is described as being about 6 feet tall with a thin building and wearing thin metal framed glasses and green Philadelphia Eagles knit cap, brown plaid jacket with grey hoodie, blue jeans and black DC sneakers.

Police also report that he could be operating an older model dark colored diesel engine pickup truck with a cap on the back, possibly a Chevy Silverado.
