The Western Chester County Chamber recently kicked off its 100th Year Anniversary by celebrating with an event held at the new Victory Pub & Restaurant in Parkesburg. The event was sponsored in part by Victory and First Niagara bank. In attendance were Chester County Commissioner Terence Farrell and State Representative Harry Lewis, Jr.

The night included some memorable remarks from two-time Chamber President John H. Lymberis (the owner of Harry’s, the Attic Lounge & Zing located in Sadsburyville). John spoke passionately about the history of Chester County’s first Chamber of Commerce and successfully linked the promises of the past with the vision of the future.

The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce will host several signature events throughout the 2016 calendar year, including a Spring Gala Celebration in May on the grounds of the Lukens Historic District. Keep your eye on this group… Like they say, “This stuff only happens once every 100 years!”

The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1916 as the Coatesville Chamber of Commerce and is one of the oldest chambers of commerce in Chester County. It became the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce in 1975, and it currently serves 20 municipal areas in the County’s dynamic and growing western region.
