The following free and low-cost workshops for small business owners and non-profit organizations are being offered to the community by SCORE Pottstown. Registration for these programs is requested. To register, please visit https://pottstown.score.org/localworkshops.

On Feb. 16, “Basics of Social Media Marketing” will show individuals the value of using social media to reach customers, members and prospects, plus how to can drive repeat business from currenty customers, and how it can lead to new customers, members and volunteers. This program will run from 6 to 7:45 p.m. at Spring City Library, 245 Broad Street, Spring City. This is a free event.

On Feb. 17, “The Power of the Inbox” seminar will take attendees step-by-step through the keys to harnessing the power of the inbox, including growing a list, creating a branded mobile-friendly e-mail, getting it opened and tracking results. This seminar runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Pottstown SCORE office, 244 E. High Street, in Pottstown. This is a free seminar.

On Feb. 23, “You’re Social: Now What?” will be presented for free at the Royersford Public Library, 200 South 4th Avenue, Royersford. You’ve thought about which social networks you would like to use for your business or nonprofit, and you’re ready to take the next step. Where do you go form there? This seminar will offer a closer look at the popular social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google+. This program is offered from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and is free for attendees.

On Feb. 24, “Retirement Planning for Business Owners” will offer an overview of what you need to think about when it comes to planning for retirement. You will look at case studies from a variety of industries and identify with the unique retirement challenges facing business owners. This presentation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pottstown SCORE office, 244 E. High Street. in Pottstown. This event does have a cost.
