Jewelry stolen from 2 residences in Albany Township; burglaries may be related to others

Jewelry was stolen from two residences on Hawk Mountain Road in Albany Township on Feb. 4. Police believe the burglaries may be related to others.

A 97-year-old Kempton woman and a 29-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were the victims.

According to State Police Hamburg, on Feb. 4 between 10:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at 1117B and B Hawk Mountain Road, Albany Township, an unknown person or people forced entry to the rear of the residence, breaking through a living room window. Once inside, the robber filled a pillowcase with jewelry and coins. Then, this person went into the attached residence and removed a black backpack which was used to remove jewelry.

Police report that this burglary may be related to other burglaries in the area including incidents that occurred in Lehigh County.
