The 2016 Street Sweeping program will “SPRING” into action on Friday, April 1 and this program will continue on a monthly basis until Friday, Dec. 2, 2016. The areas affected will be Third Street, Fourth Street and State Street. Signs are legally posted in the affected areas.
The time of operation of the street sweeper will be 4 to 6 a.m. Parking is prohibited on the streets listed below during this time period, so that the Borough may clean the streets. Anyone who is in violation during this time period will be issued a parking ticket, which carries a fine of $25 and costs of prosecution. A police officer will be checking all locations for violations.
On the first Friday of every month, prohibited parking areas to be swept will be the east side of Third Street, the west side of Fourth Street and the south side of State Street. The 2016 dates for sweeping are as follows: April 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, Aug. 5, Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2.
On the third Friday of the month, prohibited parking areas to be swept will be the west side of Third Street, the east side of Fourth Street and the north side of State Street. The 2016 dates for sweeping are as follows: April 15, May 20, June 17, July 15, Aug. 19, Sept. 16, Oct. 21 and Nov. 18.
