On Feb. 5, at approximately 1 a.m., Hamburg Police made a drug-related arrest in the borough.

Officers made a traffic stop in the area of State and Franklin Streets. While investigating the stop, drugs were discovered in the vehicle.

The driver, Trevor Schlacter, age 21, of the Hamburg area, was subsequently arrested on drug charges.

Police investigate Hamburg vandalism

On Feb. 6, Hamburg Police responded to an incident of vandalism, which was reported by Cindy Reber, age 59, of Hamburg.

According to Reber, in the area of State and Front Streets, a silver in color, four-door Subaru egged her vehicle and fled the scene.

Officers responded and an investigation is being conducted.

Resident reports unauthorized vehicle use

On Feb. 6, a local resident reported to Hamburg Police the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The victim, Wendy Roux-Mertz, age 56, of Hamburg, reported that her son, Samuel Mertz, age 22, of Hamburg, had taken her vehicle without her permission. While being investigated, the vehicle was returned.

Roux-Mertz requested that no charges be filed.
